Catapult and PUSH partner to close the gap between on-field and off-field performance analysis
Catapult has announced a partnership with PUSH, a Toronto-based sports technology company that helps coaches plan, track, assess, and improve athlete performance off the field.
With Catapult being the benchmark performance analysis solution on-field, a partnership with PUSH helps form a complete objective picture of an athlete’s performance off the field. PUSH works with hundreds of professional and Olympic sports teams across the globe, creating strong athlete engagement by quantifying performance in the weight room or remotely.
The PUSH PRO system includes a cloud-based software interface, a wearable which is worn on the athlete’s arm, and an app which empowers coaches and athletes with real-time access to programs, performance data and progress.
PUSH perfectly aligns with Catapult’s strategy of offering a set sports technology solutions for the Company’s customers to improve performance, underpinned by a platform dedicated to teams and athletes. The partnership solution is offered alongside Catapult’s SaaS-based solutions that quantify on-field performance and health, and its management solutions, helping provide further insights of athletes performance while lifting weights in the gym or remotely.
Catapult’s Chief Operating Officer, Chris Cooper, is looking forward to seeing the companies join forces in key markets across the globe..
“We are thrilled to be working with PUSH and bringing to market a customer-led partnership that will drive continuous value for customers across both companies,” Cooper said. “Catapult’s partnership objectives always prioritise the needs of our customers and how we can offer the most comprehensive set of solutions for teams and athletes, and we feel PUSH are very well positioned to achieve this goal with us.”
PUSH Chief Executive Officer, Paul Schiffner, who joined the company from WW (formerly Weight Watchers) where he was SVP, Global Strategy and Growth, is excited about the potential for owning the athlete’s data-driven narrative from the time they arrive at their team’s facilities to the time they leave.
“We are excited to partner with Catapult, the leader in sports tech”, Schiffner said. “The potential for our joint clients is huge as they will now be able to access and optimise an athlete’s performance data on and off the field”.
Rami Alhamad, PUSH Founder and Chief Product Officer, added “the potential of this partnership is a game changer for all sport teams. Over the last eight years, I’ve consistently heard our clients ask if PUSH can be used on the field or if Catapult can be used in the gym; with this integration, the goal of a unified and seamless sports technology experience is around the corner.”
About PUSH
PUSH maximizes human performance through technology. The PUSH system empowers coaches and trainers to plan, track, assess and improve athlete performance in real-time.
The PUSH system consists of a PUSH Band (wearable accelerometer), Portal, a training management system that coaches use to plan full workout programs, and an App that provides athletes with access to programs in the weight room or remotely. PUSH supports coaches and athletes across many sports and levels including pro, Olympic, amateur, weekend warrior, military, and physio/recovery.
The PUSH system utilizes the science of velocity-based training (VBT). VBT is proven to show strength gains of almost 50% larger with lower training volume source and minimizes fatigue while maximizing performance source.
Founded in 2013, PUSH is based in Toronto. Visit trainwithpush.com to find out more and connect with PUSH on Instagram, Twitter , Facebook, or YouTube.
