The Future Sports Science Professional Scholarship/Stipend provides support to an outstanding student, or entry-level professional, who exhibits a high level of professional aptitude, a profound interest in GPS technology, and financial need within the field of sports science.

Eligibility: 

To apply, students must meet the following requirements: 

• Accepted in or currently in the application process of the University of Pittsburgh Sports Science graduate program
• Applicant for a Sports Science Fellowship role within the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department
• Attend the 2024 Moving Beyond Data Collection: The Art and Science of Coaching - April 20-21st, 2024

Criteria for Selection

Scholarship/Stipend recipient will be chosen based on the following criteria:

• Essay: In 500 words or less, describe your personal and professional goals and how receiving this scholarship/stipend will shape your future endeavors in the field of sports science.
• References: Provide 3 professional references.
• Scholarship Recipient: The release of funds is contingent upon acceptance and successful enrollment in the University of Pittsburgh Sports Science graduate program, or selection for a Sports Science Fellowship role within the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department, as well as the completion of all necessary requirements.
