Voice over IP Testing Systems
Voice over IP (VoIP) has been defined by IETF and ITU standard bodies to carry voice traffic over the Internet. Catapult lets developers of VoIP network architectures test the network by creating custom scenarios for all components including Media and Signaling Gateways.
Catapult Voice over IP testing systems are the tools needed by network equipment manufacturers and service providers for:
- Control Plane Testing
- User Plane Testing
- Heavy Load Testing
- Voice Quality Testing
- Gateway Testing
Stress Testing Network Elements:
- Expandable by adding computing power, physical interfaces to any of the Catapult family of scalable platforms
- Traffic generation simulating over thousands of TCP sockets (IP Nodes) per card
- Flexible load testing for an array of traffic patterns
Functional Testing:
- Full protocol stack testing including transport and security layers
- RTP/RTCP simulation provides the bearer channel to carry the multimedia payload between the IP node and the DUT.
- User defined reports generated to assist in analysis
- Utilities enabling user friendly, time efficient, multi-purpose test environment
- PESQ for voice quality
Interworking Testing:
- State of the art software emulating and simulating key technologies and their network components: WiMAX, IMS, UMTS, GPRS, and PSTN
- Test environment simulating key VoIP nodes to surround a DUT for simple or complex multi-networking.
