GPRS Testing Systems
General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is an ETSI standard based mobile packet data capability and is considered a 2.5G technology. With Catapult’s testing systems, developers can test and simulate nodes and interfaces on GPRS networks—creating custom functional and load test scenarios for core network elements such as base station subsystem, (BSS), serving GPRS support node, (SGSN), and gateway GPRS support node (GGSN) and interfaces (Gb, Gn, Gi).
For the GPRS Network, the Catapult GPRS test systems will perform:
- Core Network Testing
- Gateway Testing
- Node Simulation
- Protocol Analysis
Catapult GPRS offering provides the tools required by network equipment manufacturers and service providers for:
- Stress Testing Network Elements:
- Expandable by adding computing power, physical interfaces to any of Catapult’s family of scalable platforms
- Packet data generation using load utility/user scripting
- Customer defined reports for analysis
- Capable of simultaneously supporting hundreds of user equipments (UEs)
- Simulates network elements to conduct complete load capacity
- Functional Testing:
- Extensive array of 3GPP releases and their variants supported
- Full protocol stack testing including lower layers
- User-defined reporting assists in analysis
- Interworking Testing:
- State of the art software emulating and simulating key technologies and their network components: WiMAX, IMS, UMTS and GSM for network integrity and peak performance.
