MGTS®/SS7

The MGTS / SS7 simulates network elements to conduct complete load capacity testing and monitoring (including SS7 over ATM lower layers). Its user-friendly development environment lets users construct custom test cases graphically. This protocol independent tool supports standard and proprietary protocols—along with a number of country variations.

SS7 Network Elements:

  • Signal Transfer Point (STP) - SCP simulation including interfacing to advance intelligent networks (AIN), local number portability databases (LNP), interim standard 41 (IS41) based networks or global system for mobile communications (GSM) home location registers (HLR)
  • Signal Control Point (SCP ) - one or more STP simulation
  • Service Switching Point (SSP ) - one or more STP emulation

Supported Network Interface Cards for SS7 :

  • J1/E1/T1, Serial, OC-3/12, Ethernet, GigEthernet, Structured STM-1

SS7 Test Utilities:

  • Network Performance Load Test (NPLT) for generation of high traffic load across the STPs under test
  • L2/L3 Conformance Testingfor turnkey testing with a pre-defined conformance test packages
  • Continuity Test (COT) and Dual Tone Multiple Frequency (DTMF)voice path testing through COT tone detection and generation and DTMF tone generation.
