Catapult Communications Offers Turnkey IMS Procedures & Services Test Packages For Industry Popular DCT2000®
Product Demonstrations at GSM Mobile Congress In Barcelona
Mountain View, CA, February 06, 2008. Catapult Communications (Nasdaq:CATT) announces the availability of the IMS Procedures and Services Test Packages to complement the DCT2000/IMS system to provide a complete, turnkey solution. “These new test packages include a large number of test suites that allow test engineers to easily test both normal and abnormal behaviors according to 3G standards,” says Chip Mayo, Director of Product Marketing at Catapult.
These pre-packaged protocol test suites are based upon 3GPP specifications and supports IMS interfaces: Gm, Mw, ISC and Cx.
The IMS Procedures Test Package verifies the main call procedures in a generic IMS network across multiple interfaces. Each suite has been designed to address both hiding and non-hiding environments. Each test suite contains multiple test cases providing a comprehensive test package including:
- Registration Test Suite
- Session Initiation Test Suite
- Termination Test Suite
- Session Release Test Suite
- Session Redirection and Transfer Test Suite
The IMS Services Test Package verifies the behavior of application servers under specific network conditions. The test suites within the package take into account different types of IMS Core Network configurations. Each test suite has been designed to address both ends of the ISC interfaces and contains multiple test cases including: Presence Test Suite Push To Talk (PoC) Test Suite Instant Messaging Test Suite

This test package will be demonstrated at the Mobile World Congress 2008 February 11-14 in Fira de Barcelona, Stand 2.1D46, hall 2_1. The Catapult showcase will give trade show visitors the opportunity to learn more about managing the complexity of LTE/SAE, IMS, and WiMAX test applications.
