CATAPULT COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES NEW GRAPHICAL TOOLS
FOR 3G LOAD TESTING

DCT2000™ PLATFORM ENHANCED

Mountain View, California - October 11, 2001 - Catapult Communications (Nasdaq:CATT) announced system level enhancements to the DCT2000 Test System. Users are now able to create their load test sequences, perform run-time control of their load applications and generate statistical reports using graphical
tools.

The new tools are protocol independent and support all of the protocols and variants currently available on the DCT2000. Users can create complex, multi-protocol load test sequences by "dragging and dropping" pre-designed blocks to construct their desired call flow. Later, during run-time, the user can easily define and change critical load test parameters in real-time. By using the new tools, users are able to dramatically reduce the time they need for developing comprehensive 3G, VoIP, and SS7 load tests.

The new statistical reports enhancement lets the DCT2000 user graph their test results. This increases the user's ability to quickly analyze the performance that they are seeing and make necessary changes.
